OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! YAY

We made it! After many tears and black eyes, we actually made it to our first anniversary in the worst economy since the depression. As I write this blog, I'm listening to "unwritten", and what keeps me going each day trying to survive as a new business is that our book is still unwritten. We are responsible for the success of our bakery and we just need to keep plugging along.

We have been really blessed with great support from our community and to honor all the support we have received, our anniversary event will be a big thanks to all of our Whoopie fans! Starting at 10:00am-2:00pm KOLA's morning crew Brian Casey and Patti Banner will be doing a live remote from our store. They will be judging the 1st annual Whoopie pie eating contest to be held at 11:30am. We have a few spots available if you want to enter. Just give us a call 909-795-8788 or email me @ aevans@westcoastwhoopies.com

The mayor of Calimesa is going to proclaim June 6th Whoopie Pie day!! Listen to his proclamation @ 10:00am.

We are also really lucky to be working with a company called Water Wars West and they do water balloon fights! Get ready for some serious fun. You can check them out at http://www.waterwarswest.com/

Lastly, we will be offering free cake, samples of whoopies, brownies and whatever else strikes our fancy! Don't forget to enter in to our raffle prizes!

Thanks again for a great first year and we look forward to many more!

Rock the Keys Event St. Patty's Day

On St. Patty's Day, our busy little leprechan's were making an awesome cake for Rock The Key's piano bar in Rancho Cucomonga. http://www.rockthekeys.com/ Check out some of the pics of our KOLA FM/Rock the Keys cake. This cake was about 35lbs and Viki and I had to deliver this puppy during rush hour traffic.. YIKES

Whoopieee, We love KOLA FM

Real Purse on the right, Cake purse on the left... SO COOL!

Alisa Evans and Patti Banner at the KOLA FM Station

We were really lucky to be picked to create the birthday cake for Patti Banner of the Morning Wake Up Bunch show on KOLA FM99.9. We were told that she loves Coach purses so I went ahead and brought in my real one for an example. So here is what Viki (our cake designer extraordinaire) came up with...

Tea Time for Tots

Hey Everyone!
I have been terrible about writing on this blog thing but today I had a free minute to blog about a cool thing we are doing here at the bakery. What started out as a once per month thing called tea time for tots is now becoming an every week thing. So, for those of you that don't know about our little activity, here you go.
Any group of up to 15 kids can call the bakery and plan a tea time for tots event. We do them on Mondays each week and we will give your group a certain time that fits your schedules. What is included in tea time for tots...
A full tour of the back of the bakery in action given by me or one of my staff
A cupcake, cookie or other bakery delight for the kids to decorate (we show them how to decorate with a pastry bag too!)
Tea,coffee, soda, water etc. for the adults
Milk for the kids
The entire event costs $5.00 per kid and changes each month. For the month of March we are decorating sugar cookies in the shape of shamrocks to celebrate St. Patty's Day. The whole event takes about 1 hour. We have some Mom groups that come every month and we love to see repeat visits! Anyway, if you are interested in doing a tea time, please give us a call to schedule you in, we fill up quickly. By the way, this is not just for tots, we can do older kids and pick a dessert that would require more detailed work on their part. Girl scout troops, birthday parties, you name it, we can do it.
Ok off to make Whoopies!

Honk if you Whoopie!

Lot's of stuff going on around the WCW headquarters. We've got weddings, wholesale orders, not to mention the friendliest staff and the best bakers west of the Mississippi under WCW 's thatched roof.

We've just about got our site finished and launched and our designer Cheryl over at Moxieville, "hey Cheryl! promised she would be sending us some nifty bumper stickers that will be sure to get you in the mood to Whoopie! Right Cheryl? She promised. Something like, "Honk if you whoopie!" Do you Whoopie? If you don't you should and often! So look for West Coast Whoopie bumper stickers coming soon!
